Juniors may become eligible for the AFROTC High School Scholarship program starting 1 June.
LATE EXAMS: Any student missing final exams on May 21 or May 22 needs to fill out the form in the Curriculum Office. Finals CANNOT BE GIVEN EARLY UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. Students must schedule with the Curriculum Office to take their exams upon their return. The exam grade will be entered in the semester grade as a zero and a grade change submitted by the teacher when the late exam has been graded.
FINAL TRANSCRIPT FORMS: Final Transcript forms are now available in the Curriculum Office. These are transcripts with second semester grades posted on them and will be available beginning May 30th. All soon to be graduates need to fill out the final transcript form to have their transcript sent to the college they will be attending. All colleges require a final transcript before they will allow college students to register for second semester classes. Plan ahead and put in your request now. All requests must have a complete address for the college you will be attending. Any additional requested transcripts will need to be picked up in the Curriculum Office after May 30th. Students may also do the online transcript request on the ASD or South website and be sure to mark “End of Semester” instead of “now”.
Senior Fun Day permission forms will be accepted through Wednesday, April 30th. Return them to F 109.
Students: are you interested in a hands-on experience in both news broadcasting and narrative film making? If you are, please stop by the Curriculum Office or see your English teacher and ask about the new class we are offering next year: Electronic Communications/Video Announcements. Your English teachers have a flyer with the course description including a QR code directing you to a survey of your interest in the class. You can complete the survey on your smartphone or by going to the online link provided in the flyer. Students in the course will participate in the writing, planning, reporting, producing, filming, editing, and distribution of daily news broadcasts. Participants will work in a fully digital studio environment with access to industry standard equipment and software to produce a television quality program.
There will be 2 AP preadministration sessions and 1 make up session. Any student who does not attend will need to complete their preadministration in class with the AP teacher. Every student taking an AP exam must do the preadministration paperwork prior to taking their first exam.
