The hills come alive as South High Theatre presents the most beloved musical of all time, THE SOUND OF MUSIC. Considered one of the masterpieces of modern musical theatre the production features such well known songs as “How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria”, “16 Going On 17”, “Edelweiss” and “Climb Every Mountain. Shows are Feb 19-22 at 7pm in the South Auditeria. Tickets are $8-12 and can be purchased during lunch in the commons. Email email@example.com for more information.
2014 AP Exam Information
PAYMENT: The first step is to pay for your exam(s). The payment window will be open from
Monday, February 10th through Friday, March 21st at 11a.m.
- Pay online with credit/debit card through Zangle Parent Connect
- Pay at South with cash/check (made out to “SAHS”) to Mrs. Thornton in the front office.
REGISTER: The second step is to register for the specific exam(s) you plan to take.
- Print your receipt if you pay online or get a receipt from Mrs. Thornton and BRING it to Mrs. Traeger in the curriculum office to register for your specific exam(s).
- Mrs. Traeger will have a form for you to select the specific test(s) you will be taking.
How much does each test cost?
Tests are $89.00 each. There is no discount for ordering multiple tests, and you should pay for all of your exams at the same time.
What is the final deadline for ordering tests?
Registration for AP Exams ends at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 21st. No exceptions.
ASVAB Test – Wed., February 26th, 7:30am, South Library:
Have you ever asked yourself “which career is right for me?” Your ASVAB test scores will help you determine your interest in different career areas as well as your readiness for further education and/or training in those areas. Sign up for this free test in the Curriculum Office! The test is open for 10th – 12th grades.
National Honor Society candidates, please remember to return your candidate packets to Mrs. Dietrich in H211 by the Feb. 21st deadline. All sophomores who have maintained a 3.5 GPA for the past three semesters should have already received a candidate letter. Juniors who are interested in being considered for National Honor Society must submit a transcript demonstrating three consecutive semesters above a 3.5 GPA and a candidate packet by Feb. 21st. Candidate packets may be picked up in H211 at lunch or after school.
The 2014 Academic Awards ceremony will take place on Tuesday, March 25, at 11:30am in the Auditeria—4th period. Please return the RSVP portion of the letter to the Curriculum Office before 12:00pm on February 28, 2014 for your student to be included in the ceremony. Your student will be excused from class to attend this ceremony. Teachers have already been notified and will plan accordingly. We look forward to your attendance and the opportunity to recognize your student’s achievement. However, if you cannot attend the Ceremony, your student can pick up their Academic Award in the Curriculum office on March 26, 2014.
