Students! The application for 2014-15 Gifted Mentorship Program is now available on the ASD website! The application deadline for first semester mentorships is April 25, 2014. Space is limited, so apply early!
Auditions for graduation performances will take place April 9th at 2:15 in the choir room. All senior individuals and groups are welcome to audition for the National Anthem or another song. Please sign up in F209 if you plan to audition.
Attention all girls interested in trying out for the 2014 Volleyball team. There will be an important informational meeting Wednesday, April 9th at lunch in room C 217. Please stop in and get the latest and greatest information for next year.
All Volleyball Players the Freshmen Fair is scheduled for Thursday, April 10 at 6:00pm. All returning Volleyball players are encourage to join Coach Knecht for this important opportunity to meet and greet the class of 2018.
Any senior who wants to submit artwork for the cover of the graduation program should submit their work to F209 by April 11.
The written LPF test will be Thursday, April 10th at 10:30a.m. In room G214. The practice session for the FULL LPF test out will be Thursday, April 17th at 10:30a.m. In room G214. If you are planning on taking either test, please see your counselor to sign up.

Question of the Week: After 2015, will there be any future changes to the APS? The answer is ‘Not that I am aware of!’ As you all know, the Legislature and/or State Board of Education can always propose changes however at this time, the 2015 and Beyond Checklist is the final implementation piece to the APS. Frank and Carol Pinkerton Orchestral Scholarship: for students of violin, viola, cello, and string bass who show a commitment to advanced study in music education. Deadline: April 1, 2014
Nordic Ski Association of Anchorage Scholarship: for students who have been members of their high school XC ski teams during their junior and senior years and have an individual or family membership with NSAA. Deadline: April 1, 2014.
Dr. Merritt C. Olson Scholarship: for West High School students only. Preference given to students wishing to pursue a career in education and those with financial need. Deadline: April 15, 2014
Sven and Lorraine Eriksson Scholarship: for students planning to study electrical, mechanical, or civil engineering or music at any Univeristy of Alaska campus. Deadline: May 1, 2014
Neal O. Thorpe Memorial Scholarship: for students who are the first in their immediate family to pursue a post-secondary degree. Deadline: May 23, 2014
