AUDITIONS!!! Today from 2:30-5:00pm in the auditeria for I NEVER SAW ANOTHER BUTTERFLY. This powerful drama follows the story of Raja, a young survivor of the holocaust. Performances are April 24-26.
The written portion of the LPF test will be this Thursday, March 6th, during lunch in room G214. Sign up with your counselor ahead of time. Test begins at 10:30a.m.
If you have signed up to take the SAT at UAA on Saturday, March 8th, please remember to bring a photo ID. If you do not have photo ID you will not be allowed to test.

South Baseball Players: All players interested in playing South High School Baseball this year, please get your forms turned into the Activities Office and to Coach Nerland. If you have questions about the season, please don’t’ hesitate to contact Coach Nerland or Head Coach Cliff Butcher. Check out our website sabbc.org for more information and required Forms. Tryouts will start the week of March 17th and go for two weeks.
AP Exam Information The payment window will be open through Friday, March 21st at 11am. Pay online with credit/debit card through Zangle Parent Connect or pay at South with cash/check (made out to SAHS) to Mrs. Thornton in the front office.
Then register for the exam(s) you plan to take. Print your receipt if you pay online or get a receipt from Mrs. Thornton and BRING it to Mrs. Traeger in the curriculum office to register. She will have a form for you to select the specific test(s) you will be taking. Tests are $89/each. No discount for multiple tests. March 21st is the deadline: NO EXCEPTIONS!!
Students The outsides of the lockers will be cleaned during Spring Break. If you have anything on the outside of your locker that you want to keep you need to take it down. Anything left on the lockers after Thursday will be thrown away.
High School Juniors and Seniors: Would you like to spend three weeks on the beautiful campus of the Institute of American Indian Arts in Santa Fe, New Mexico? They are offering a creative summer bridge program where you will be able to participate in creative classes, such as poetry and art. Students will engage in field experiences to nearby galleries, museums, and Native communities, such as Pueblo Feast Days. Students will also gain three college credits in Math or English. There is a $25 application fee which can be waived if you submit your ACT scores. Stipends may be available to Alaska applicants.
